Andrew started his career in financial application development for IBM business
partner Astech Solutions in Toronto. Astech specialise in modernising legacy
systems and developing new software on the AS400. He then spent six years
developing, marketing and selling online software for Euraplan Ltd, a company
with a 27-year track record in the UK institutional investor market. Prior to
founding Summit, Andrew was head of Business Development for institutional
investors at the European custody specialist KAS BANK NV.
When not in the office, Andrew is kept busy by a young family, wide-ranging travel
interests and the rigors of mountaineering and long-distance running.
Des has been advising on investment and pension issues since 1988. Prior to
joining Summit Des worked as a Senior Consultant with Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
He has worked for both specialist and traditional pension consultancies in both
the defined benefit and defined contribution pension markets. Whilst his primary
focus has been on the UK market, he has also dealt with pension scheme clients
and companies across Europe and South Africa. Des is often quoted in the pensions
press, has spoken at numerous pension conferences and been a judge at industry awards.
In his spare time, Des is involved in his local rugby club, where both his teenage
sons play, and supporting his daughter's hockey team.
Matthew has more than 10 years experience in the financial services industry,
having worked for the largest insurance company in Canada as well as one of the
top five banks. There his responsibilities included client service, relationship
management and internal sales development. He has successfully completed the
Canadian Securities Course, the Professional Financial Planning and the Wealth
Management Technique courses. Having successfully completed all three levels,
he is now an accredited Financial Management Advisor.
Matthew has a young family and enjoys sailing in his spare time.
Sander has spent the last 16 years with ABN AMRO. He began his career as a
Treasury Sales Advisor to a diverse client base of large corporate and
institutional investors in the Netherlands. In 2000 he joined ABN AMRO Asset
Management where he was responsible for liquidity products such as money
market funds. His clients were based across the globe, with the majority
focused in the American and European markets. Prior to joining Summit,
Sander spent two years in Hong Kong as Head of Marketing & Product Management
Asia Pacific, focusing on product development for the Asian market.
Sander spends his time outside the office with his wife and two children,
enjoying hiking, running and sailing.
